The Club House


Whaddon Golf Centre was created in 1987 by Ken Green. Since then it has grown into a busy and successful golf and activity venue. Still in the family, the course is now run by Richard and Lorna Green and their team who are always ready to give you a warm and friendly welcome to Whaddon.

The Club House is as much a hub for the Whaddon community as it is for the Golf club. Gardening clubs, walkers and ramblers, cycling groups and sports teams regularly use the facilities available at Whaddon. Why not pop in for a coffee and use the free WiFi to keep in touch. 

Outside there is a sun terrace where you can sit and watch the golfers tee off or simply relax while admiring the parkland surroundings of this picturesque course.

Club bar

Whaddon Golf Centre has a fully licensed bar where you can enjoy a range of alcoholic and soft drinks. A feature of the bar is that it serves real ale.  We are proud to offer Buntingford Brewery ales and beers..
 
Every Whitsun weekend a Beer Festival is held with around 6 different real ales and some local ciders to try. This coincides with the now famous Whaddon Whitsun Celebrations which includes a BBQ, Morris dancing and the singing of the Whaddon song. This is a great family fun day out..!

Public footpaths that cross the course make for some very interesting walks around the area. Stopping for a well earned cup of tea to refuel before the trip back are very popular. Ask at the bar for details of the local walks.
Venue hire

We are happy to host your functions in the Club House or to arrange group visits to the range or the course. If you are planning a meeting, a special event, a party or just need the space for a function, why not hold it at Whaddon? We can accommodate groups from 5 to 50.
